My Favorite Podcasts

I am a major podster! 9 times out of 10 if you get in my car you will find that I am listening to a podcast and not music. It’s nothing personal music, I just love a podcast! I religiously listen to around 11 or so podcasts. While a few of those may be a limited series or season (ie 6 episodes a year) the other 8 are coming out at least once a week and I am listening. My preferences run the gambit of interviews, true crime, inspiration, personal finance, history and business. I LOVE IT ALL! Instead of inundating you with eleven podcasts all at once I am going to be dishing out 2 a week, telling you why they are worth a listen. Let’s dive in:

Armchair Expert

It’s True, I am an Arm Cherry. I’ve been listening to this podcast since 2018. Dax & Monica have a variety of celebrities and notable persons on and the interviews can be great. If you have kids in the car I suggest to put your air pods in, as the language may be flying at times.

Start with Episode: DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER

Believe me, I know how wild this sounds especially given the caliber of some of their guests (Hello, Bill Gates) but it was truly such a great listen. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry.

Side Note: Most of my favorite 5 star episodes have been the ones that when I see the episode guest I roll my eyes or think I don’t like/know who this person is. It’s a wonderful sensation to be pleasantly surprised/learn something new.

Crime Junkie

True Crime Afficianados this is the podcast for you. The main host Ashley Flowers is just a master story teller, she has the perfect tone, intonations and voice for this space and it just adds so much to each case. The beauty of this podcast is that the women don’t go into too much gory details, you will get the general facts of the case because the hosts desire justice and hate to glorify the crimes (unlike other true crime podcasts I have listened to, and stopped).

Start with Episode: PHOEBE HANDSJUK or RAY RIVERA

Wow, just wow on both episodes

Side Note: I began listening to Crime Junkie in early 2020 but have since gone back and listened to every podcast they have ever released. It’s good.

Let me know how you like them!
