Charcuterie Board as a Gift

Who doesn’t love a charcuterie board? I want names. Seriously, the options are endless: meats, cheeses, fruits, preserves, nuts, the list goes on. There is virtually something for everyone. Charcuterie has slipped into our cultural zeitgeist as of the past few years and there are few gatherings/menus that lack them. We are accustomed to their presence but I’m gonna show you how to get accustomed to them as presents. (yes, yes I did).

Our good friends recently moved, so I decided what better house warming present than a charcuterie board? It serves many purposes:

  • Something to eat while everything is still in boxes and you take “the tour”

  • A new place means lots of visitors popping into check out the place and that means the homeowners will be prepared for guests and impress them in the process.

  • Once the board items are gone, they are left with a lasting gift in the form of a cheese board, butcher block or cutting board

With all this in mind I headed to Homegoods to see what they had

Is this sight all too familiar?
